Desh Bhagat University organizes Gender Sensitization Competitions on National Girl Child Day

MANDI GOBINDGARH, Feb 11: The Agrim Club of the Faculty of Agriculture and Life Sciences Desh Bhagat University, in collaboration with the Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat Cell, Unnat Bharat Abhiyan and Swachh Bharat Mission, organized a series of competitions on the theme "Gender Sensitization on National Girl Child Day" at the Faculty of Agriculture & Life Sciences.
The programme began with a welcome address, followed by an awareness lecture by Dr. Avinash Bhatia, who highlighted the importance of gender equality, the relevance of National Girl Child Day, and the crucial role of youth in building an inclusive society. His address encouraged students to actively engage in initiatives promoting gender empowerment.
Students participated enthusiastically in Essay Writing, Slogan Writing, and Poster Making competitions, creatively expressing ideas related to gender sensitization, women empowerment, and equal opportunities.
The competitions were judged by Prof. (Dr.) H. K. Sidhu, with support from Dr. Sachin Bhardwaj, Dr. Rajat Sharma and Ms. Shivangi Sood, who appreciated the originality and social relevance of the entries.
