Death Anniversary of Late Abdul Majeed Bhat observed

ANANTNAG, Feb 11: The 18th death anniversary of former Information Officer late #Abdul Majeed Bhat, fondly known as Majeed Wopzani, was observed with solemnity at his native village Wopzan in Bijbehara on Wednesday People from different walks of life gathered to pay heartfelt tributes and remember his service and character.
Widely regarded as a sincere and upright officer, Majeed Wopzani devoted more than 35 years to the Jammu and Kashmir Information Department, holding several important positions during his career.
His professionalism and commitment were highly respected, and he was known for his unwavering dedication - often fulfilling his duties in the newsroom even during major festivals such as Eid.
From 2005 to 2007, he served as Press Relations Officer to former Jammu & Kashmir Chief Minister and PDP Patron Mufti Mohammad Sayeed, a role in which his diligence, integrity, and work ethic earned widespread appreciation.
Late #Abdul Majeed Bhat information Officer Got Extension in Government service after he was retair in information department in June 2005.
Speakers at the gathering highlighted his valuable contributions to the department and noted that his dedication to public service would continue to be remembered for years to come. Many people visited his residence and participated in special prayers, seeking eternal peace for his soul.
Majeed Wopzani's legacy remains a source of inspiration for colleagues, friends, and the wider community, who remember him as a committed public servant and a man of integrity.
