| Consortium of Senior Eng calls on FM | | | Early Times Report Jammu May 26 A group of senior engineers (pensioners) namely Consortium of Senior Engineers met Finance Minister A R Rather and submitted a memorandum apprising him of the anomalies /discriminations in the existing pay scales of engineers vis-à-vis other govt. deptts. The memorandum highlighted that the anomalies have not been rectified in the SRO issued by the state govt. under the 6th Pay Commission. They demanded that the pay grades be revised and brought at par with that of pay grades as given to engineers by central govt. and also as prevailing in our neighbouring states of Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Haryana etc. The deputation comprising Er.B.L.Suri, Er.Daftri, C.E.Retd, Er.J.S.Sudan, Er.Madan Dogra, Er.Vikram Gour S.E.Retd., and Er.Jasbir Singh Xen Retd also discussed various issues with the finance minister The Finance Minister gave them a patient hearing and appreciated their concern of retired senioer engineers and assured them that the govt. will give due consideration to the issue and would try to redress their grievances.
