| PUCL welcomes release of Dr Sen on bail | | |

Welcoming release on bail by the Supreme Court of Dr. Binayak Sen PUCL president of Chhatisgarh, the Convener PUCL J&K Balraj Puri has demanded his unconditional release in response to appeal of civil society in India and abroad.
Mr Puri in his statement stated that Dr Sen’s only crime according to all available evidence, was that he was defending the rights of innocents victimized by the state for their suspected sympathy with the Nuxalities. Peaceful protest against violation of human rights is a democratic right of every citizen, he added.
