| Eminent poet Qudoos Rasa Javedani remembered | | | Early Times Report

Rasa Javedani Memorial Literary Society (RJMLS) organised a function to mark the death anniversary of legendry Urdu and Kashmiri Poet Abdul Qudoos Rasa Javedani.
During the occasion contribution of legendry poet to the Urdu and Kashmiri literature was lauded and his qualities of head and heart were recalled by various speakers.
Prof. Shohab Inayat Malik. president RJMLS presided over the occasion.
Paying rich tribute to Rasa Javedani, Asser Kishtwari described him a thorough
gentleman having a secular bent of mind. According to Asser Kishtwari, Rasa Javedani gave new dimension to Kashmiri poetry.
Ayaz Rasool Nazki described Rasa Javedani not only a leading poet of Urdu and Kashmiri language but also a gentleman par excellence with unmatched humanity, kindness and concern for suffering people.
Ravi Thakur and Pyaree Hatash called Rasa Javedani a symbol of Kashmiri language. Though he wrote good poetry in Urdu, it was the Kashmiri poetry in which he excelled
Prof. Shohab Malik said that Rasa Javedani has contributed a lot to Urdu and Kashmiri language but cultural academy is ignoring his contributions. ‘the great poet of state has been ignored by the cultural academy, he said.
Others who spoke on the occasssion included Irfan Qureshi, Vijay Kumar, Asif Iqbal and Ajay Kumar. Proceedings of the function were conducted by Tariq Mehmood while vote of thanks was presented by Imran Tak.
