Early Times Report VIJAYPUR, Feb 16: The Nasha Mukht Bharat Abhiyan Committee of Government Degree College Vijaypur organized Tug of War (Boys) and Badminton Competitions (Girls) for the students of B.A., B.Sc., and B.Com. Semester II, IV, and VI. The activities were conducted with the objective of promoting physical fitness, teamwork, and a healthy lifestyle among students as part of the nationwide anti-drug awareness initiative. The Tug of War competition witnessed energetic participation from students across semesters. The team from Semester IV emerged as the winners after displaying remarkable strength, coordination, and team spirit. In the Badminton Competition (Girls), Ruhi and Kavita Devi of B.A. Semester II secured the winning positions, showcasing outstanding sportsmanship and skill on the court. The event was organized under the patronage of Principal Dr. Ashu Vashisht, who appreciated the efforts of the committee in promoting the message of a drug-free India through constructive and engaging activities. She encouraged students to actively participate in sports and co-curricular activities for their holistic development. The program was convened by Dr. Anoop Kumar Bhagat (Convenor, Nasha Mukht Bharat Abhiyan Committee), whose initiative made the event a grand success. The competitions were efficiently coordinated by Dr. Manoj Heer (HOD Dogri) and Dr. Anoop Singh (HOD History) And co-coordinated by Dr. Gunjeet Mahiwal (Lecturer, Department of Education), and Prof. Manisha Bharti (Head of the Department of Computer Applications). |
