The protest was launched for not allowing the students to sit in 6th semester examinations. According to the status of the technical education board a student should have passed 70% subjects upto 4th sem for sitting in 5th semester. By virtue of this status more than 200-300 students were not allowed to set in 5th semester examination last year though then have attended the 5th semester classes.
