Ramban police organise cultural programme at Dak Banglow Ramban

RAMBAN, Feb 18: District Police Ramban organised a grand Cultural Programme at Dak Banglow Ramban aimed at promoting local talent, strengthening community bonding, and spreading awareness among the youth against drug abuse. The event witnessed mesmerizing performances by local artists who showcased their extraordinary talent in music and singing. The programme provided a vibrant platform to budding artists of the district to exhibit their skills and encouraged young talent to pursue their passion in a positive and constructive direction. The initiative was organised with the objective of fostering stronger ties between the police and the local community while promoting meaningful engagement of youth. Special emphasis was laid on creating awareness regarding the growing menace of drug abuse. As part of the Nasha Mukt Bharat Campaign, people were sensitized about the harmful effects of narcotics and were informed about the MANAS Helpline (1933) for assistance and counselling related to substance abuse.
During the programme, the general public was also made aware of important toll-free helplines meant for public assistance, including:
112 - Emergency Response Support System
1930 - Cyber Crime Reporting Helpline
1933 - MANAS Helpline (Drug De-addiction Support)
The participants were also sensitised on the importance of girl child and women safety, along with public awareness regarding road safety measures to ensure responsible and safe conduct on roads.
A huge gathering attended the programme, including leaders across various political parties, senior citizens, youth representatives, and members of civil society. All district officers of District Ramban were present on the occasion, and the Deputy Commissioner Ramban graced the event as the Chief Guest.
The programme received overwhelming appreciation from the general public, who lauded SSP Ramban for organising such a magnificent and people-centric initiative aimed at promoting local talent at the grassroots level and strengthening the bond between police and the community.
District Police Ramban reaffirms its commitment towards community policing, youth empowerment, social awareness, and ensuring a safe and progressive society.
