| Rajouri police arrested three drug peddlers; 17 grams of heroin like narcotic substance recovered | | | Early Times Report
RAJOURI, Feb 19: Police Party of Police Station Rajouri, while on routine patrolling duty at Choudhary Nar in the Rahtal area, apprehended two persons who attempted to flee upon noticing the police naka. During questioning they were identified as:
Mohd Danish S/o Mohd Saber R/o Chowkian Jabber Darhal Rajouri
Niaz Ahmad S/o Imtiaz Ahmed R/O Dodaj Darhal Rajouri
During personal search approx 11 grams of heroin like narcotic substance was recovered from their possession.
In this regard a Case FIR No. 77/2026 under relevant sections of the NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Rajouri and both accused have been taken into custody.
In another incident one person Sanam Khan S/o Saleem Khan R/o Danidhar Rajouri was apprehended by a police party of Police Station Rajouri at Danidhar. During search approx 6 grams of heroin-like narcotic substance along with cash amounting to ?22,080 was recovered from his possession.
In this regard a Case FIR No 80/2026 under relevant sections of the NDPS Act has been registered at PS Rajouri
Further investigation in both cases is underway to trace forward and backward linkages of the arrested persons and to identify other individuals involved in drug trafficking.
