JSC proposes amendment in Recruitment Bill 2009

Srinagar, May 27- The Joint Select Committee (JSC) which met here today under the chairmanship of Finance Minister AR Rather proposed certain amendments to J&K Civil Service Decentralization and Recruitment Bill 2009.
The Bill provides for equitable opportunities of employment in Civil Services in the State, keeping in view its complex, socio-economic and geographical/ topographical/ linguistic/security concerns and matters connected therewith and incidental thereto.
The meeting was attended Murtaza Ahmad Khan, R. S. Chib, AG Vakil, Mohammad Rashid Qureshi, M. Y. Taing, Ashok Kumar, Rachpal Singh, Abdul Gaffar Sofi and Sardar Rafiq Hussain Khan Legislators.
Principal Secretary, Law, Akhtar Hussain Kochak and Secretary, Legislative Assembly, Mohammad Ramzan Najar, besides other senior officers also attended the meeting.
Rather, after observing paras of the Bill and assenting to the suggestions of the members, agreed for amendments to the points raised in today’s deliberations. The next meeting, schedule to be held on June 15, 2009, will discuss any remaining issues.
