Aids awareness workshop held at GDC Bhaderwah

Bhaderwah, Feb 20: A two-day awareness campaign was launched today at Government Degree College Bhaderwah organized by the Red Ribbon Club in collaboration with the NSS Unit of the college under the agies of IQAC.
The programme commenced with a warm welcome address delivered by Dr. Swarn Singh, Convener of the Red Ribbon Club, who highlighted the importance of awareness initiatives among students and encouraged active participation in such programmes. Dr. Ajaz Ahmed Wani head department of Zoolgy and IQAC coordinator was kind enough to deliver a lecture on the relevant theme. In his lecture, he shared valuable insights and expert knowledge on the theme. He highlighted the students how Hiv crisis move from pandemic to epedemic .The session proved highly informative and interactive for the participants. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from around 50 students and 15 teaching faculty members, reflecting the keen interest of the academic community in awareness-based educational activities.
The organisers expressed sincere gratitude to the esteemed Principal, Mohd. Farooq Mirza, for his continuous support and encouragement in organising such meaningful programmes. The programme concluded with a formal vote of thanks delivered by Prof. Yaseen Sirwal, Head of the Department of Chemistry and Programme Officer of the NSS Unit, who appreciated the speaker, organisers, faculty members and students for their active involvement and contribution to the success of the event.
