Jammu, May 27- To carry out urgent maintenance work and branch cutting on 11 KV feeders RC-6, RC-5 and N-8, the power supply to PHE Gandhi Nagar, Boria, Police Line, Gulshan Ground, Vikram Chowk, Shastri Nagar, Rani Park and its adjoining areas shall remain affected on May 28,2009 from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m.
Similarly, to carry out interconnection of 33 KV outgoing feeders from 50 MVA, 132/33 KV newly constructed Grid Station Mahanpur, the power supply to Basohli, Mahanpur, Bhoond, Bani and Lowang etc shall remain affected on May 28, 2009 from 6 a. m to 2 p. m.
The shut down shall be subject to fair weather conditions
In the meantime the PHE Department has intimated that due to frequent power failure in the areas of Narwal, Greater Kailash, the water supply to Bahu area, Bathindi, Sunjwan, Channi Himmat, Greater Kailash, Sainik Colony, Greater Jammu including Kunjwani area, Gangyal, Bandhurakh and Gandhi Nagar area is likely to be affected tomorrow.
