Amarnath Yatra : over 17000 booking trip every day

Srinagar, May 27: The registration of Shri Amarnathji Yatra through the special counters set up by the J&K Bank across the country, at the request of the Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board, had registered nearly 52000 pilgrims in the first three days since the commencement of advance registration
According to a spokesperson of the SASB, 51,518 pilgrims registered themselves through on-line and by on-the-spot booking in 110 branches of the J&K Bank in various parts of the country from May 20 to 23.This number includes 26,787 pilgrims seeking registration from the traditional route via Pahalgam and 24,731 from the route via Baltal.
The J&K Bank has also introduced a scheme to provide optional insurance cover to the interested pilgrims, the spokesperson said.
