Early Times Report NOWSHERA, Feb 23: A One-Day Integrated Communication and Outreach Programme (ICOP) on Centrally Sponsored Schemes (CSSs) was organized here at Government Industrial Training Institute, by Central Bureau of Communication, Rajouri, under the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting. On the occasion, expert lectures were held on VB G RAM G Act, Pradhan Matri Kaushal Vikas Yojana, National Livestock Mission and other Centrally Sponsored Schemes (CSSs). In his address, Er. Niyaz Ahmed, Superintendent, Government Industrial Training Institute, spoke about various initiatives of Kaushal Vikas Yojana (Skill India). He said the scheme focuses on imparting skill training to the youth, providing scholarship, placement and loans to entrepreneurs. The Skill India transforms the youth from job seekers to job providers, he added. Dr. Dalbir Singh, Assistant Veterinary Surgeon, Sheep Husbandry Department gave an overview of various schemes related to Sheep Husbandry Department like National Livestock Mission and Dharti Abha. Amrik Singh from Rural Development Department spoke on VB G RAM G Act. He said the Act strengthens the implementation framework by increasing the administrative expenditure ceiling from 6 percent to 9 per cent, providing greater support for staffing, remuneration, training and technical capacity. Durga Prakash, Stage Manager CBC, R. O. Jammu, staff members and students of Government ITI, Nowshera were among those who attended the programme. Vijay Mattoo, in charge, CBC, Rajouri, in his welcome address gave a detailed overview of the Integrated Communication and Outreach Programme (ICOP). |
