GDC Ramnagar organises Road Safety Rally on "Road Safety: A shared responsibility"

RAMNAGAR, Feb 24: The Road Safety Club of Government Degree College Ramnagar organised a Rally on the theme "Road Safety: A Shared Responsibility" under the esteemed guidance of the worthy Principal, Prof. (Dr.) Bhavnaish Chand Anthal. The rally aimed to create awareness among the general public about the importance of following traffic rules and adopting safe road practices.
A large number of enthusiastic students actively participated in the rally, carrying colourful placards and banners displaying impactful slogans promoting responsible driving, use of helmets and seat belts, avoidance of mobile phones while driving, and strict adherence to traffic regulations. The rally commenced from the college premises and passed through the main areas of Ramnagar town, drawing the attention of shopkeepers, pedestrians, and commuters. The participants raised slogans advocating road discipline and urged citizens to contribute towards making roads safer for everyone.
Addressing the participants, Principal Prof. (Dr.) Bhavnaish Chand Anthal appreciated the initiative of the Road Safety Club and emphasized that road safety is not merely a legal obligation but a moral responsibility. He highlighted that awareness among youth can bring a significant behavioural change in society and reduce the alarming number of road accidents. He further encouraged students to act as ambassadors of road safety within their families and communities.
