Early Times Report
LEH, Feb 24: The Lieutenant Governor of the Union Territory of Ladakh, Shri Kavinder Gupta, has approved the grant of Notional Annual Increments for the probation period to employees appointed under the Jammu & Kashmir Special Recruitment Rules, 2015 (SRO-202).
This significant decision marks a progressive step towards ensuring fairness and service parity among government employees in the Union Territory. By recognizing notional increments for the probation period, the Administration has addressed a long-pending concern affecting employees appointed under SRO-202, thereby acknowledging their rightful service entitlements.
The approval reinforces the commitment of the UT Administration to create a transparent, equitable, and employee-friendly governance framework. The move will ensure a level playing field for employees of Ladakh and align their service benefits with established principles of administrative justice.
In his message, the Lieutenant Governor emphasized that the Administration remains dedicated to safeguarding the legitimate rights of employees and strengthening institutional fairness. He noted that this decision reflects the government's resolve to promote morale, enhance efficiency, and uphold equity in public service. He directed the concerned departments to issue necessary orders and implement the decision in a time-bound manner. This measure is expected to benefit a significant number of employees appointed under SRO-202 and further streamline service conditions within the Union Territory.
