It is true that success comes to those who work hard and reach great heights. Success doesn’t come overnight. It requires perseverance. Somebody once asked Alexander Fleming the secret of success. He replied, "Work, work, work, work and work hard. Hard work is the key to success; the old saying seems to be proved true by Anubhav Malhotra second topper in state from KC Public School in class X, CBSE examinations, who has tasted success only by burning midnight oil throughout the year. It is also essential to study throughout the year”, observes 17 year old Anubhav with 98 per cent marks. “Those who take it easy in the beginning of the academic year and start studying only towards the end of the academic session cannot put in their best because of they tend to get overloaded and begin suffering from study fatigue ”Sheer regularity has been the mantra of success for this achiever. “I made it a point to revise at home whatever was taught to me in the class. It helped a lot,” he told.. He feels that the number of hours you put in your study are not so important as the sincerity with which you do your work. “What is more important is your motivation level coupled with your sincerity. If you study only after being told repeatedly by your parents to do so, you cannot expect to do well. The motivation has to be intrinsic — it has to come from within,” he remarks. Disclosing his future plans he say that his goal now is to top in IIET.Anubhav says his parents never imposed any restrictions on him and gave him a free hand in studies. He gives all the credit to his mother for waking him up early in the morning and staying awake with him late in the night. Credit also goes to his school teachers, Principal and the coaching he has been taking from some reputed teachers. Talking about his study schedule he told our correspondent that he had been putting in about three hours of consistent efforts every day in last two months before the examinations. He seriously started preparing right for the examinations.. He watched TV just for one hour a day, but he was not a book worm. All studies and no play make Jack a dull boy, so he kept himself busy with something or the other. “My friends had predicted even before the declaration of result that I would top the examination, and there words indeed came true,” Anubhav said on the phone. His parents who he says are the force behind her success “My father has encouraged me and supported me at every level. He is my role model.” Anubhav father Anil Malhotra who is an engineer by profession while taking to our correspondent told that his son is not only good at studies but also active in all other activities also. Anubhav has brought medlas in interschool debate and other competitions. Anubhav whose favorite hooby is playing cricket has also excellent record in it. He has recently played in a Madhav Rao Scindia cricket tournament being played at Gwalior. His message to all ambitious students is: Understand the basic facts instead of cramming mindlessly. Keep working hard, for hard work is the only key to success.
