| Inter-zonal meet of Udhampur begins | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
UDHAMPUR, May 28: Annual inter-zonal competitions of district Udhampur were declared open by District Development Commissioner Udhampur, Ajay Khajuria in a well attended function at Government Higher Secondary School, Jaganoo, near here today.
In all, 425 boys and girls drawn from different zones of the district in two age groups of under-14 and under-17 shall be competing for top honours in the events of kho-kho, kabaddi, volleyball and wrestling.
The detailed results:
BOYS: Kho-kho U-14 year: Tikri zone bt Jib zone 7-3. Kabaddi U-14 year: Udhampur zone bt Majalta one 37-17; Dudu zone bt Jib zone 40-17; Panchari zone bt Ghordi zone 43-09. Kho-Kho U-17 year: Udhampur bt Ramnagar zone 20-10. Volleyball U-14 year: Dudu zone bt Ramnagar zone 25-15, 25-21; Tikri zone bt Udhampur zone 25-18, 25-10; Tikri zone bt Ramnagar zone 25-15, 25-21.
GIRLS: Kabaddi U-14 year: Jib zone bt Udhampur zone 41-32. Kho-Kho U-14 year: Jib zone bt Ramnagar 14-03. Kho-Kho U-17 year: Jib zone bt Ghordi 16-03.
