| Trial matches for CK Naidu trophy begins | | |

Jammu and Kahsmir Cricket Association (JKCA) conducted trial matches for the forthcoming CK Naidu Trophy on newly prepared wicket at MA Stadium here today. The wicket was inaugurated by R.L Sharma Principal GGM Science College. Others who were present on the occasion were S.S. Kalsotra, Suneet Sharma, Tilak Singh, Ashok Singh, Ravi Sharma, Vidya Bhaskar, Sanjay Sharma, Hardev Singh, Desh Ratan Dubey, Dr. Vinod Bakshi and Vivek Khajuria.
In the inaugural match, Jammu Red beat Jammu Blue by 69 runs. Jammu Blue after winning the toss decided to bat first. They accumualated 147 runs in 42 overs. Anil and Ravi were the top scorers with 36 and 34 runs resepctively. In reply, Jammu Blue was bundled out for just 78 runs in 20 overs. Vimarsh Kaw was the highest run scorer with 26 runs. For Jammu Red, Majid bowled a deadly spell to scalp six wickets follwed by Rohit who grabbed four wickets. |
