| Govt invites nominations for CM’s Vigilance Medal-2009 | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT SRINAGAR, MAY 28 - According to a notification issued by General Administration Department (GAD), applications have been invited from public spirited citizens, NGOs, associations and societies of J&K State for award of Chief Minister’s Vigilance Medal-2009 for displaying conspicuous and exemplary courage in exposing corruption and creating awareness against corrupt practices. The awards will be given on Independence Day this year.
The award comprises of four medals each year, with two medals for government servants and two for public spirited citizens, NGOs, associations and societies and one time reward of Rs. 51,000 along with a certificate.
Public-spirited citizens, NGOs, associations and societies have been requested to make nominations of eligible persons/body to the concerned Deputy Commissioners for onward submission to the GAD.
The last date for receipt of recommendations/nominations in GAD (Vigilance) from the concerned Deputy Commissioners has been fixed as June 30, 2009.
The recommendations/nominations need to be communicated to the Deputy Commissioners well in time so that the same are referred by the Deputy Commissioners to the GAD (Vigilance) by or before June 30, 2009.
