| DIET Jammu hosts 3-day leadership development programme for Middle School Heads | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Feb 27: The District Institute of Education and Trainings Jammu successfully organized a three-day Capacity Building Programme on Leadership Development for 50 Heads of Institutions (HOIs) of Middle Schools representing all 15 zones of Jammu district. The programme, aligned with the vision of the National Education Policy 2020, focused on strengthening leadership competencies, effective communication, academic supervision, and school management practices. The sessions were designed to empower school heads with practical strategies for institutional improvement and enhanced learning outcomes. The programme was formally inaugurated by Principal DIET Jammu, Dr. R.G. Dogra, who emphasized the transformative role of school leaders in implementing educational reforms at the grassroots level. He highlighted that empowered and visionary Heads of Institutions are central to achieve the objectives envisioned under NEP 2020. The programme was coordinated by Sumeet Sawhney, Senior Lecturer, DIET Jammu, with Sourab Bakshi as Co-Coordinator. Technical coordination was efficiently managed by Amit Gupta and Sanjay Lal. Academic guidance and oversight were provided by Sh. Kewal Ram Sagar, HOD Planning & Management Wing. During the valedictory function, Dr. R.G. Dogra appreciated the enthusiastic participation of all HOIs and encouraged them to adopt innovative, learner-centric, and outcome-based practices in their respective schools. The participants expressed satisfaction with the interactive and practical nature of the training sessions The programme concluded with a feedback session and a renewed commitment from participants to strengthen leadership practices and promote quality education across Jammu district. |
