Early Times Report JAMMU, Feb 27: Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University (SMVDU) organised an awareness lecture on "Clean Habits, Healthy Communities". The lecture was the second session in the University's ongoing thematic series titled "From Me to We", aimed at fostering individual responsibility towards collective well-being. The session was delivered by Dr. Shailla Cannie, Principal and Dean, SMVD College of Nursing, a distinguished academic leader and recipient of the prestigious National Florence Nightingale Award, with over 28 years of experience in nursing education and community health. Addressing the female hostel residents, Dr. Cannie emphasized the importance of personal hygiene, responsible management of shared spaces, and mutual respect as essential elements in nurturing a healthy and harmonious residential community. The interactive lecture focused on strengthening awareness about clean habits, effective community living, and constructive coordination with hostel administration and staff to maintain a safe and supportive campus environment. |
