Viksit Bharat Youth Parliament 2026 for Shimla district organized at JUIT

SHIMLA, Feb 28: The district-level Viksit Bharat Youth Parliament 2026 for Shimla district was organized successfully on 26th February 2026 at Jaypee University of Information Technology, by the NSS Unit of JUIT with support from the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports. The event was inaugurated by distinguished guests, including Vice Chancellor Prof. RK. Sharma, Registrar Brig. RK. Sharma, Deputy Director of MyBharat Mr. Vipin Kumar, and esteemed jury members such as Dr. Kamal Jeet Singh, Major Dr. Luxmi, Aman, and Deepika Sharma. A total of 85 participants registered for the event, demonstrating their public speaking skills within a three-minute timeframe, evaluated by a panel of experts on criteria including relevance, clarity, innovation, and fluency. The five winners of this event: Suraj Sharma, Yogesh, Sujal Sharma, Mohit Thakur, and Osheen Sharma, will now compete with winners from other districts of Himachal Pradesh, with aspirations of progressing to the national stage. The event's success was made possible through the dedicated efforts of NSS programme coordinator Dr. Nishant Jain, along with NSS faculty members Dr. Pardeep Garg, Dr. Ashok Nadda, and the active participation of NSS student volunteers.
