| Samba police arrests 2 drug peddlers with 22.23 grams heroin like substance | | |  Early Times Report
SAMBA, Mar 2: Continuing its drive against drug smugglers & peddlers, Samba Police has arrested two drug peddlers in the jurisdiction of Police Station Samba and recovered approximately 22.23 grams heroin like substance (Chitta) alongwith three mobile phones from their possession. Acting on specific information, a team of Police Post Rakh Amb Talli of PS Samba intercepted a motorcycle bearing registration No. JK21K-6229 near Kalibari, Rakh Amb Talli for its checking. During checking, approximately 22.23 grams of heroin-like substance (Chitta) and three mobile phones were recovered from the possession of rider and pillion rider of the said motorcycle.
The drug peddlers identified as Rohit Bhagat S/o Swaran Das R/o Ranjri tehsil Vijaypur district Samba and Sahil Kumar S/o Ghara Ram R/o Sum tehsil & district Jammu have been arrested. The contraband item along with mobile phones has been seized. The motorcycle involved in the crime has also been seized by the police.
A case FIR No. 54/2026 u/s 8/21/22/25/29 of the NDPS Act has been registered at PS Samba and investigation started. |
