Three drug addicts booked under preventive action in Katra

Reasi, Mar 2: Continuing its sustained drive against drug abuse and to maintain public order, District Police Reasi has taken preventive action against three drug addicts in the Katra area.
Acting on credible information and complaints regarding their involvement in drug abuse and activities disturbing public peace, proceedings under Sections 126/129/170 BNSS were initiated against the following individuals:
Mahir Raina S/O Pawan Kumar R/O Aghar Jitto, Tehsil Katra, District Reasi
Tarseem Sharma S/O Hans Raj R/O Chhapanoo, Tehsil Katra, District Reasi
Sahil Sharma S/O Yash Paul R/O Kanjli, Tehsil & District Reasi
Accordingly, a complaint under Sections 126/129/170 BNSS was produced before the Hon’ble Court of EMIC Katra for necessary legal action.
The entire operation was carried out by SHO P/S Katra Insp. Ranjeet Singh Rao, under the close supervision of SDPO Katra Dr. Bhishm Dubey, JKPS and Katra Sh. Vipan Chandran, JKPS.
SSP Reasi Sh. Paramvir Singh-JKPS, reaffirmed commitment to curb drug abuse and take strict preventive measures against individuals involved in activities that pose a threat to public peace and societal harmony. General public is urged to cooperate with the police and share any information related to drug abuse or other unlawful activities.
