Early Times Report POONCH, Mar 6: In a tribute to International Women's Day, the Indian Army conducted multiple blood donation and health awareness drives across Naushera, Rajouri, Bhimber Gali and Poonch, highlighted by a flagship event at 150 General Hospital (GH), Rajouri, under the aegis of Ace of Spades Division. The campaign focused on emphasising the invaluable contributions of women and promoting blood donation as a noble, selfless act. Enthusiastic volunteers collected 125 units of blood, strengthening reserves for emergencies. Complementing this, troops deployed in remote areas organised blood donation camps and health awareness sessions for local communities, educating residents on basic healthcare and preventive measures. These initiatives reflect the Indian Army's dedication to humanitarian service, community welfare and the empowerment of women, highlighting a spirit of compassion, altruism and commitment to serve beyond uniformed duties. |
