| Court rejects bail of husband involved in dowry death case | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu, May 29- Rejecting the bail application of one Ravi Kumar Bali son of K K Bali of Gandhi Nagar Jammu allegedly involved in dowry death case, theSub Judge Jammu VS Bhou observed that releasing the accused on bail will be against the cause of society particularly the women folk and more so the investigation is still in progress and possibility of the accused in causing death of the victim cannot be ruled out In this view no good ground is made out for granting bail to the accused and the bail plea of the accused is rejected In the objections filed by Senior Prosecuting Officer Rajesh Bakshi, on behalf of the police, submitted that the deceased Nitika was only child of her parents was married to the alleged accused in March 2006. The alleged accused harassed her for brining more dowry and regularly asked for money to invest in his business. It was also alleged that accused developed illicit relations with a lady working in his business premises which added the harassment to the deceased and ultimately Nitika was found dead in her in-laws house on April 10, 2009. A case under FIR No 118/2009 u/s 498-A, 306 RPC was registered in the police station Gandhi Nagar, and the accused was taken into custody. JNF
