EARLY TIMES REPORT Srinagar, May 29- Minster for School Education and Public Enterprises Peerzada Mohammad Syed today ordered suspension of 11 officials including six gazzeted officers for violation of norms and procedures and committing irregularities in opening and upgrading of primary schools under Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SAA) in Shopian district.. The suspended officials include Ghulam Mohi-ud-Din, Zonal Education Officer(ZEO), Shopian, Shazada Shaheen, ZEO Keegam, Ali Mohammad Allie, ex-ZEO Imamsahib presently posted as Principal, Higher Secondary School, Wasoora, Mushtaq Ahmad Qadri, Principal, Higher Secondary School, Hermain, Ali Mohammad, Principal, Higher Secondary School, Zainpora, Abdul Hamid Tak, ZEO Vehil, Shopian, Farooq Ahmad, Senior Assistant, Khurshid Ahmad, Junior Assistant Riaz Ahmad, Zonal Resource Person, Nazir Ahmad Sheikh and Ghulam Mohi-ud-din, ex-ZRPs dealing with identification and processing of opening and up-gradation of primary schools under SSA The Minister reiterated his commitment to streamline the education sector and bring in accountability in dissemination of service and quality in education. “No up-gradation or opening of new schools will be carried out unless proper codal formalities as laid down under SSA are fulfilled”, the minister cautioned. Peerzada directed Director, School Education, Kashmir to charge-sheet the suspended officers and officials and submit report within 15 days. The suspended officers and officials shall remain attached with the Director School Education during the period of suspension.
