| Jora reviews progress on Khir Bhawani Project | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Srinagar, May 29- Reviewing the arrangements for the ensuing Khir bhawani mela, the Minister for Tourism and Culture, Nawang Rigzin Jora has asked the executing agencies to ensure timely completion of the Khir Bhawani (Tulamulla) development project. The project has been taken up as an integrated development scheme involving a total cost of Rs 15 crore. So far Rs 13 crore has been incurred on its development with 68 one room tenements, a Yatri Bhawan and pooja room stands completed. The Minister accompanied by DDC Ganderbal Abdul Majid Khanday, Director Tourism Kashmir besides other senior officers today visited Tulamulla and took stock of arrangement being made by the administration for smooth conduct of the annual Mela commencing from May 31. He was apprised by DDC that all necessary arrangements have been made for the facilitation of the visiting devotees who are coming for the darshan of Mata Ragyna. The Minister directed the concerned authorities to work in close coordination and ensure that all facilities are provided to the devotees during mela days. The Minister stressed upon the officers to work with missionary spirit and proper coordination to ensure that all possible facilities are available to the devotees on mela days at the Ashthapan. He directed the JKPCC to ensure temporally function of all toilets and also asked for cleanliness of in and around of the Bhawan and ordered for engagement of more persons for the purpose.
