| Display BPL list, panel asks CAPD | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT SRINAGAR, May 29-Chairman, Committee on Assurance, J&K Legislative Assembly, Mr. Mohammad Yousuf Tarigami has asked the officers of Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution (CA&PD) to ensure the implementation of distribution of 11 kg ration per head among the consumers of the state. Stressing for streamlining the working of CA&PD, Mr. Tarigami asked the concerned to display the list of Below Poverty Line (BPL) and Antodya Anna Yojna (AAY) ration card holders at the respective sale outlets of CA&PD so that the benefits reach the targeted beneficiaries. Mr.Tarigami was chairing the Committee on Assurance meeting held here today. The meeting was attended by Legislators Mr. Basharat Bukhari, Mr. Abdul Gani Malik, Engineer Abdul Rashid, Mr. Bharat Bhushan, Mir Zahoor Ahmad, Mr. Mubarak Gul, Secretary CA&PD, Mr. K. B. Jandial, Directors, CA&PD, Kashmir, Jammu and senior officers of J&K Legislative Assembly. During the meeting, the Committee discussed threadbare various issues and the Members raised various public concerns. MLA, Pampore, Mir Zahoor demanded for registering the consumers of village Bajbagh Sumbroo under BPL and Engineer Abdul Rashid demanded for establishment of mobile ration sale outlet in remote and far-flung areas. Secretary, CA&PD assured the Committee that the department will ensure compliance of the decisions taken in the meeting.
