National Lok Adalat held

JAMMU, Mar 15: In pursuance of the activities as per calendar National calendar and under directions of J and K Legal Services Authority, a 1st National Lok Adalat was organized on 14/03/2026 in District Kishtwar by the District Legal Services Authority Kishtwar.In the said 1st National Lok Adalat Criminal Compoundable cases, Matrimonial cases matter related to Maintenance, Civil, Recovery, labour, MACT Cases and Pre-Litigation cases and other cases were taken up before 03 benches which were constituted for the said purpose. The first Bench was consisting of Deputy Kumar, Chief Judicial Magistrate Kishtwar and Karan Bijyal, Munsiff/JMIC Kishtwar . The Second bench was consisting of Meera Bangotra Secretary DLSA Kishtwar and Deepika Sharma.The Third Bench was consisting of Ms Mamta Sudershan, ALC Kishtwar and Azhar Shah, Deputy Chief LADC Kishtwar. A total of 394 number of cases were taken up out of which 365 cases of different nature was settled down. A total amount to the tune of Rs 6620683/- was awarded to the claimants in MACT Cases, Labour Disputes, NI ACT and other cases.
