| Summer off in Jammu division from June 08 | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, MAY 29: All Educational Institutions including recognized private schools up to higher secondary level falling in the summer zone of Jammu division shall observe summer vacations with effect from 8-6-2009 to 1-8-2009. It has further been ordered that 5 days summer vacations with effect from 8-6-2009 to 12-6-2009 shall be observed by the educational institutions including private recognized institutions of winter zones falling Jammu division.
Any default on the part of private schools in observance of the calendar of vacations so authorized shall attract action under the rules applicable on the subject.
According to Secretary Education Department, the process of admission of students to the higher classes shall, however, continue notwithstanding the vacations so ordered.
