| Aazad assures completion of pending healthcare projects | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT New Delhi, May 30 Continuing with his meetings with union ministers to pursue development issues of Jammu & Kashmir on the second consecutive day here today, Chief Minister Mr. Omar Abdullah met the Union Minister for Health and Family Welfare, Mr. Ghulam Nabi Azad and discussed with him the healthcare scenario in the State. During the meeting Union Minister Health Mr Azad assured the Chief Minister all out support from his ministry to ensure that health sector-related objectives in the State are achieved in a time bound manner. Mr Azd also spoke about his personal interest in completing all ongoing healthcare projects in J&K, especially in urban areas. The two leaders shared the optimism and confidence that with the cooperation between the central and the state governments, the healthcare sector in J&K is poised for a turnaround and will see a positive change in delivery of health services in the next five years. The Chief Minister later assured Mr. Azad that all health schemes initiated by him as the Chief Minister in the State are being vigorously implemented and hoped that with Mr. Azad assuming the charge of the health ministry in the Central Government, these schemes will receive further impetus. The Chief Minister also felicitated Mr. Azad on his new assignment.
