Delegations raise development issues with Javed Rana

JAMMU, Mar 25: Several public delegations from different parts of Jammu today called on Minister for Jal Shakti, Forest, Ecology & Environment and Tribal Affairs, Javed Ahmed Rana and apprised him of a range of developmental concerns and local demands.
A delegation from R.S. Pura, led by Naresh Choudhary, raised issues related to basic infrastructure and the delivery of essential public services in the area.
Another delegation from Udhampur, led by Abdul Ghani Teli and Shamim Begum also met the Minister and highlighted several local issues with particular focus on inadequate water supply in Qasim Nagar, Rajiv Nagar and adjoining localities. In addition, they brought attention to certain forest-related matters and concerns regarding road connectivity in the region.
Similarly, a delegation from Kathua, led by Talib Choudhary, urged the Minister to strengthen flood protection measures to safeguard the vulnerable areas.
A separate delegation from the Samba-Mansar belt, led by Haji Fareed, highlighted the need to harness the eco-tourism potential of the scenic Mansar region, stressing its importance for local economic development.
The Minister assured the delegations that their genuine concerns would be addressed on priority.
