| Large turnout at Fortis free OPD camp held at Starmeds Clinic in Jammu | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Mar 28: A free OPD camp organized by Fortis Memorial Research Institute (FMRI), Gurugram, witnessed a large turnout of patients at Starmeds Multispeciality Clinic in Channi Himmat on Saturday. Patients from different parts of the region attended the camp to seek expert medical advice for various health concerns. During the camp, noted hematologist Dr. Paritosh Garg provided consultations to patients suffering from blood cancer, thalassemia and other blood-related disorders. Patients were given detailed guidance regarding diagnosis, treatment options and further management of their conditions. Dr. Vikas Kumar, a liver transplant surgeon, also examined patients suffering from liver-related ailments. He reviewed their medical reports and advised them on appropriate treatment and preventive care. Many patients arrived with their previous medical records and received detailed consultations from the visiting specialists. Speaking on the occasion, J.P. Singh, State Head , and Sharang Singh Jasrotia, executive director Starmeds, Raagini singh jasrotia MDsaid that the objective of organizing such camps is to bring the expertise of leading doctors from reputed hospitals to Jammu so that patients can access specialized medical care locally. They further stated that similar camps will continue to be organized in the future, enabling patients in the region to benefit from the services of experienced specialists without having to travel outside the city. |
