| SKICC – where business is pleasure | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Srinagar, May 30 – Chairman, State Finance Commission (SFC), Mehmood-ur-Rehman today said that Sher-i-Kashmir International Conference Centre (SKICC)) is a place where business is always a pleasure in view of its grand location and world-class infrastructure.
Rehman said this while inspecting various sections of SKICC here today, which included Plenary Hall, Winter Hall, Conference Rooms, Banquet Hall and several huts located within the premises of the Convention Centre.
Director, SKICC, R. A. Qadri and SFC Members, Prof. Nisar Ali, Sonam Dawa and S. R. Sharma, Consultants, G. R. Malik and B.K. Suri accompanied Rehman,
Stressing for wide publicity of facilities available at the Centre, the Chairman asked the management to bring in further improvement in its functioning so that more tourists check in at the Centre.
Appreciating the work being done by the management of the Centre, Rehman said SKICC is fully equipped to simultaneously take care of hundreds of delegates.
Apprising the Chairman about the functioning of the Convention Centre, Qadri said SKICC possesses state-of-the-art infrastructure, which makes it an ideal destination for all sorts of conferences. He said there are indoor and outdoor banquets, translation facilities in all conference centres and halls, projection facilities even for 35 mm films, apart from audio-visual and LCD projections. He said spacious banquet hall is another attraction for hosting dinner, and other receptions for about 600 persons.
Qadri assured Rehman that SKICC will strive hard in providing world-class facilities to the visiting delegates.
