| PK, PKM to merge into single unit on June 7 | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu, May 30- The activists of Panun Kashmir and Panun Kashmir Movement, two of the strongest and the most influential ideological groups met together after they announced their intention of complete integration. The most two influential groups had announced their intention to completely integrate into a single entity about a fortnight back with huge support for the move coming from the Kashmiri Pandit community. Ashwani Chrungoo, President Panun Kashmir Movement, while addressing the joint meeting, said that today’s meeting is a prelude to the grand finale on June 7, 2009, when the two groups would finally integrate into a single unit. On this day Panun Kashmir Movement would be observing its 16 Annual General Meeting and the final announcement of integration would be made there. The community could never reconcile to the division of Panun Kashmir and always desired them to reunite, he added. Dr. Agnishekhar, Convenor Panun Kashmir, in his address said that there was no reason to remain separate when the two groups shared the same ideology, had the similar perception and the same origin. The community always wanted the Panun Kashmir to be together and we can not remain oblivious to the burning desire of the community Prof.M.L.Raina, Chairman Political Affairs Committee Panun Kashmir Movement in his brief address talked about the future processes and modalities. The activists from both sides showed great enthusiasm and eagerness to work together and the atmosphere bore a festive look. The eagerness of the two groups to work together can be gauged from the fact that recently the leaders of the two groups attended a mega function at Pune organized by our Pune chapter. Virender Raina, National Spokesman, while addressing the function said that the coming together of the two groups signifies a paradigm shift in Kashmiri Pandit politics and would lead to further consolidation of our forces. In the days to come we will pursue the process of integration further with greater vigor.
