| Bovine smuggler arrested, 8 bovines rescued | | | Early Times Report
UDHAMPUR, Mar 30: Udhampur Police foiled a bovine smuggling attempt during naka checking under the jurisdiction of Police Station Chenani.
During naka traffic checking duty police party of PS Chenani signalled a tanker bearing registration No. JK02BT-3197 to stop for checking. The driver of the vehicle disclosed his identity as Shauyab Ali S/o Srafat Ali R/o Salman Farsi Masjid, Azad Colony, Sharanpur (UP).
Upon checking, the vehicle was found loaded with 08 bovine animals which were tied with ropes in a cruel manner and were being transported without any valid permission.
All the bovines were rescued safely. In this regard, Case FIR No. 51/2026 U/S 223 BNS and 11 PCA Act has been registered at Police Station Chenani and further investigation is underway. |
