Early Times Report NAGROTA, Mar 30: Government Degree College Nagrota organised a Road Safety Awareness Programme under the patronage of Principal Prof. Anjali Mahajan, reaffirming its commitment to promoting civic responsibility and student awareness. The programme was conducted by the Road Safety Club of the college. At the outset, the distinguished resource person, Mohammed Rashid Bhat, JKPS, Senior Superintendent of Police, Staff Officer to IGP Traffic, was formally welcomed by the organisers. This was followed by an insightful and comprehensive lecture by Bhat, who elaborated on crucial aspects of road safety, including strict adherence to traffic regulations, the importance of protective measures such as helmets and seat belts, and the serious consequences of reckless driving. His address, enriched with practical examples and professional experience, effectively engaged the audience and underscored the shared responsibility of citizens in ensuring safer roads. Students and faculty members actively participated in the session, making it an interactive and enlightening experience. The programme culminated with a formal vote of thanks by Prof. Mussarat Choudhary, who expressed sincere appreciation to the distinguished resource person for his valuable insights and to all those involved in organising the event.
