IAAMCON 2026 concludes in Jammu, focus on Healthy Ageing

JAMMU, Mar 30: The 3rd Annual Conference of the Indian Association of Age Management (IAAM), IAAMCON 2026, was organized by the Department of Orthopaedics, ASCOMS & Hospital, Sidhra, in collaboration with Jammu and Kashmir orthopaedics association (JKOA) and GMC Jammu, at Hotel Radisson Blu, Jammu on the theme "Aging with Dignity." Over 35 national faculty members and more than 150 delegates participated, reflecting strong nationwide representation.
Prof. Ashutosh Gupta, Principal, Government Medical College, Jammu, graced the occasion as Chief Guest and emphasized the importance of a multidisciplinary approach in improving elderly care.
Rakesh Raman, Treasurer, ASCOMS & Hospital, appreciated the smooth organization and active participation that contributed to the success of the event.
Dr. Pavan Malhotra, Director Principal, ASCOMS & Hospital, congratulated the organizing team and reiterated the institution's commitment to academic excellence and quality healthcare. He also reteriated that the theme of conference "Ageing with Dignity" was profound and timely and also stressed on need of forming a scientifically viable strategy to champion the functionality of age
Dr S.K. Bansal, President, IAAM, extended his appreciation to the organizing team and highlighted that such conferences play a vital role in advancing awareness, research, and best practices in age management across the country. He emphasized the need for continued collaboration to address the healthcare challenges of an aging population.
Dr. S. S. Jha, President-Elect, IAAM, also spoke on the occasion and stressed the importance of preventive strategies and early interventions in ensuring healthy aging.
The conference featured keynote lectures, panel discussions, and scientific sessions on advances in age management and orthopaedics.
Organizing Secretary Prof. (Dr.) Rajesh Kumar Gupta thanked all delegates and faculty, terming the event a significant step toward strengthening geriatric healthcare.
In the end, Dr. Pallav Gupta presented the vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to the chief guest, faculty members, and delegates. He also acknowledged the valuable contributions of the executive committee members - Dr. Sanjeev Gupta, Dr. Sumeet Singh, and Dr. Anitipal Singh - along with the ASCOMS teaching faculty and volunteers for their dedicated efforts in making the conference a grand success.
The conference was widely appreciated for its academic relevance and successful organization.
