Several doctors, teachers suspended in Doda district

DODA, MAY 30 In order to regulate punctuality and working of various Government Establishments and Educational Institutions in Doda District the District Development Commissioner, Doda Mr. Syed Sharief-ud-Din has deputed teams of officers in the entire District with the aim to make surprise checks and routine inspections.
During such inspection at PHC Goha Marmat Dr. Abdul Rashid was found absent from duty on 28-5-2009 similarly entire Hospital at Thanala Bhaderwah was found locked on 20-5-2009 and at High School Thanala Mr. Nazir Hussain Headmaster was found absent on 29-5-2009 while as in High School Roat Marmat I/c Headmaster Mr. Daya Ram was absent from duty on 26-5-2009 to 28-5-2009.
Taking a strong note the District Development Commissioner, Doda directed the concerned Heads of Departments to place all the officers found absent from duty under suspension and take disciplinary action as warranted under Law.
Meanwhile, the District development Commissioner Doda Mr. Syed Sharief –ud-Din today convened a meeting of Regional Transport Authority Doda for providing better, smooth and feasible transport facility to the passengers in the District.
The meeting was also convened to approve cases for grant of road permits to the commercial vehicles in District Doda. After making the scrutiny of all the cases road permits were approved in respect of eight (8) minibuses, Five (5) Auto rickshaws and 107 Taxies/ maxi cabs.
Speaking on the occasion the DDC Doda stated that by increasing the frequency of passenger vehicles overloading, overcharging, road accidents could be minimized to a great extent. He further asked the concerned Transport Officer to regularize the checking of vehicles, licenses, and relevant documents so that the menace of over loading which leads to accidents and over charging from passengers could be stopped.
