DDC advised NYK to familiarize govt schemes among masses

Nehru Yuva Kendra Rajouri in collaboration with "Khadmat-e-Mulk" an NGO organized a one day sports-cum-cultural programme in Government Higher Secondary School Darhal today. Large number of people of the town and youth of the adjacent areas turned up to witness the programme. As many as, seven teams from different areas of the district participated in the volleyball match.
District Development Commissioner Rajouri Parvez Mali was the chief guest while Commanding Officer 48 Rashtrya Rifles, Col M K Joshi was guest of honour.
Speaking on the occasion, the DDC appreciated the role of Nehru Yuva Kendra Rajouri for organizing such programme in far off and hilly areas. He said such activities boost the physical health of players and boost the cultural heritage among the generation. He advised the Kendra to familiarize the government schemes launched in the district through the net work of their cultural and sports activity at the stage for creating awareness among the masses so that people in general and youth in particular could get the advantage of these for their bright future.
Col Joshi also spoke on the occasion and highlighted the services of army under Operation Sadbhavna being extended to the people of border and in assessable areas from time to time for the welfare of the people.
He appealed the people to make close liaison with the army and civil administration in eliminating the militancy in the larger interest of the nation.
Earlier, school children of GHSS presented colorful cultural programme based on communal harmony and national integration, which was highly appreciated by the audience.
The DDC distributed prizes among the winner and runners up time. The prizes were arranged by the District Coordinator, NYK Rajouri.
