Early Times Report CHANDIGARH, Apr 4: Mehr Chand Mahajan DAV College for Women's first batch of the Certificate Programme in Banking, Finance and Insurance (CPBFI), conducted in collaboration with Bajaj Finserv for the academic session 2025-26, successfully completed its training. The milestone marks a significant step in the institution's ongoing efforts to enhance students' employability through industry-integrated learning. The programme, introduced under a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed with Bajaj Finserv, is designed to equip students with practical knowledge and essential industry-relevant skills, preparing them for promising careers in the banking, finance, and insurance sectors. The inaugural batch comprised 40 students from second and final year B.Com, BBA, and BA Economics, along with postgraduate students of MA Economics and M.Com. The training included 120 hours of intensive instruction, focusing on conceptual clarity, technical proficiency, and professional skill development. As part of the programme, students underwent a comprehensive evaluation process, which included an online examination followed by an HR round, offering them valuable exposure to real-world recruitment practices and enhancing their industry readiness. Officiating Principal Ms. Neena Sharma remarked that such initiatives play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between academia and industry, enabling students to gain hands-on experience and develop the confidence required to excel in the competitive financial sector. |
