J&K Swimming Association updates Electoral College to 68 members, invites objections

JAMMU, Apr 4: It is hereby informed to the general public and all concerned that the General Body Election of the Jammu & Kashmir Swimming Association (Regd.) are scheduled to be held in the month of April 2026 under the proper monitoring and supervision of the J&K Sports Council and the Swimming Federation of India. In this regard, an Electoral College comprising 66 members was earlier framed and published in leading newspapers including State Times, The Excel Express, Headlines Today's, Jammu Express, Jandrah Images, and others from 25th March 2026 to 27th March 2026, inviting objections, if any, from stakeholders within the stipulated time period.
In continuation of the earlier notification dated 24-03-2026 vide reference No. JKSA/116, it is hereby clarified that the Electoral College actually comprises 68 members. However, in the previous press release, only 66 members were published due to an inadvertent omission. The remaining member, which was mistakenly left out earlier, is now being included through this press release. Accordingly, the Jammu & Kashmir Swimming Association (Regd.) hereby includes the name of Himayoun Wani S/o G.M. Wani, R/o Rose Avenue, opposite PHQ Peer Bagh, Srinagar / Hyderpora, Jammu & Kashmir, Mobile No. 9419063256, a businessman by profession, as Serial No. 67 in the Voter List in the Electoral College and Naveen Kumar Soodan S/o Late Balinder Kumar Soodan R/o 1/6 Shant Nagar Old Janipur Jammu-180007 (M) 9419240860, 8717041854 as Serial No. 68 in the Voter List. The revised voter list now stands updated with a total of 68 members.
Any person having objection(s), if any, regarding the inclusion of the above-mentioned member in the voter list. May submit the same in writing within seven (07) days from the date of publication of this notice. Any objections received after the stipulated period shall not be entertained under any circumstances.
