Early Times Report JAMMU, Apr 7: In a landmark cultural initiative, Jammu & Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture & Languages (JKAACL), in coordination with Bhartiya Lok Sangeet Kala Sansthan (BLSKS), is set to present a grand musical play titled "Mata Sukrala Ki Kahani"-a first-of-its-kind production in the history of Jammu & Kashmir on April 09, 2026 at 4:30 PM here at Abhinav Theatre. The musical opera "Mata Sukrala Ki Kahani" is a unique dance-drama production designed to promote Duggar culture, national integration and communal harmony. The play incorporates diverse folk traditions such as Ras, Jaggar, Gagail, Chhinj Hira Harn, Jattar and Bhagatia-presenting a vivid tapestry of Jammu's cultural legacy. The production aims to revive traditional folk theatre while channelizing the creative energies of youth towards nation-building. It highlights the ideals, emotions and collective spirit embedded in traditional art forms, making it a complete and meaningful artistic experience.
