| State Govt. not utilizing funds for development works, alleges Harsh | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu, June 01- Leader of the Panthers party legislature party and former education minister Harsh Dev Singh on Monday accused state government of not utilizing central funds for the all round development of the state. Exposing tall claims of the coalition government Panthers party leader, who is also the chief spokesperson, said that in the last five years the state government has failed to utilize central funds for various projects and was only drumbeating its achievements. Addressing media persons here today Singh also lambasted the coalition government for failing to announce the calendar of the budget session. Referring to the central reconstruction plan to the tune of Rs 30,000 crore Panthers party leader said that during their recent visit to the state the central team revealed that only Rs 5700 have been spent by the state government during the last five years and hefty sum of over 25000 crore were not spent. "The cat is finally out of the bag", Singh said pointing accusing fingers towards the working of the state government. Mocking at the PM’s idea of J&K as model state, Singh said, "Irony is that more than fifty percent villages in the state still do not have regular water, power and health care facilities and the PM is talking about making it a model state. "The development activities have come to a grinding halt under new dispensation. The government has failed to present budget. In its absence the government has failed to formulate District level plans in the respective District Development Board (DDC) meetings. I fail to understand why at all government is wasting crucial time and not taking concrete steps to resolve the basic problems faced by the common masses.
