Indian Chamber of Commerce Jammu calls on newly appointed DIG

JAMMU, Apr 8: A delegation of the Indian Chamber of Commerce (ICC), Jammu Chapter, led by its Chairman, Mr Rahul Sahai, called on the newly appointed Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Jammu, Shri Shridhar Patil (IPS) , to extend a warm welcome and congratulate him on assuming charge of the Jammu range.
During the meeting, the delegation conveyed their best wishes to Shri Shridhar Patil for a successful tenure and expressed confidence in his leadership and administrative capabilities. The interaction was held in a cordial and constructive atmosphere, reflecting a shared commitment towards ensuring peace, stability, and growth in the Jammu province.
The ICC delegation also deliberated on various pressing law and order issues affecting the region, particularly those impacting trade, industry, and the overall business ecosystem. Key concerns discussed included Long Pending Passport verifications,Drug's menace,ensuring a safe and secure environment for business operations, strengthening coordination between law enforcement agencies and industry stakeholders, and addressing challenges faced by the business community.
Rahul Sahai along with Sh Ashish Jain , Sh Raj dua from ICC highlighted the importance of maintaining robust law and order to facilitate economic growth and attract investments in Jammu & Kashmir. He emphasized that a secure environment is critical for the development of trade, tourism, and industry in the region.
Shridhar Patil appreciated the proactive approach of the Indian Chamber of Commerce and assured the delegation of full cooperation from the police administration. He reiterated his commitment to maintaining law and order and fostering a secure and business-friendly environment in Jammu province.
The meeting concluded with a mutual understanding to maintain regular dialogue and collaboration between the police department and the industry body for addressing emerging concerns effectively.
