| Arora expresses concern over slow pace of sanitation work | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu, June 01- State BJP Spokesperson Ramesh Arora met Political Advisor to Chief Minister Davinder Rana and expressed his concern over the slow progress in on going work of sanitation pipe layout. He sought immediate repair and black topping of the roads in Jammu city without further delay in view of the ensuing monsoon. He further apprised the Advisor that in most of the areas the roads are not even motarable and after digging and laying out pipes in different parts of Jammu city, contractors do not care even to make road or lane usable. They leave the same for months together in pity condition. BJP spokesperson said that different deputations had met him and other leaders of the party expressing their concern over the vicious conditions of roads. Concerned Department should constitute a team to look into the matter and they should not leave the matter of public importance on the mercy of contractors, who are only interested in earning profits and have little concern with the problems faced by general public. Arora also suggested that there must be coordination in the working of different departments in order to avoid digging of roads time and again and in order to avoid wastage of money he suggested that some team of senior officials be constituted to coordinate the working carried over on roads, lanes and by lanes, this will not only save public from harassment in rainy season but also save the exchequer. Arora also suggested that supply of electricity be made in a proper manner and undue and unscheduled electric cuts should not be allowed keeping in view high temperature and its effect on the industrial growth
