Early Times Report SRINAGAR, Apr 8: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Srinagar, Akshay Labroo today chaired a comprehensive meeting here at DC Office to conduct a detailed project-wise review of major water supply projects being implemented under Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation (AMRUT) 2.0 aimed at strengthening and augmenting the water supply and quality of water across the district. The Meeting was attended by Chief Planning Officer, Fayaz Ahmad Dar, Superintending Engineer, Er. Ambreen Anjum, Executive Engineer Water Works Division, Aijaz Rafiq, Water Supply Master Plan Division, Muzamil Ahmad, Executive Engineer, I&FC, Executive Engineer, UEED, Executive Engineer, Ground Water, Executive Engineer PHE Mechanical Division and other concerned Officers. At the outset, the Deputy Commissioner was given a detailed overview through a detailed presentation highlighting the progress of different projects under the scheme aimed to augment and boost the water supply in the district. The DC was informed that 19 projects have been approved for Srinagar City under AMRUT 2.0, with work progressing in full swing and several major water supply projects nearing completion to boost and augment water supply in Srinagar District. On the occasion, the DC conducted an in-depth review of each project, focusing on critical parameters including infrastructure quality, operational efficiency and citizen-centric outcomes. |
