| Galaxy college of education celebrates antismoking day | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu, June 1: The adult education and population unit of Galaxy college of education in collaboration with department of environment and remote sensing celebrated anti smoking day here today. Prof. Uma Sharma, vice president Patanjali Yog Samiti, briefed the audience that if someone has an urge to smoke,he should do deep breathing i.e. Bartrika pranayam immediately the urge to smoke will diminish. To raise the will power and self confidence, one should perform annulanvilam pranayam. By performing Brahmari and Udgeet Prarayam one will start getting the Amrit of spirituality and one finds that the Amrit of spirituality is intoxicating and helpful in removing stress and tiredness than smoking. On this occasion a skit titled “Smoking narak ka dawar yog swarg ka dawar” was also staged to make aware the labour and masses about the smokings bad effects. Dr. Subash Gupta from environment science department, university of Jammu delivered a lecture on environment and hazards of smoking, while R.C. Sharma, Dy. Conservator of Forests of environmental soil conservationist from department of environment and remote sensing apprised the audience regarding the deadly diseases caused by smoking. He said that performance of meditation Yog helps a lot in curing such diseases in pollution free atmosphere.
